Soft-as-a-Cloud Baby Afghan

soft as a cloud blanker

Did I mention I was working on a baby blanket?  I finished it this morning — it is as pretty as can be and completely reversible.  The pattern is available for free on Ravelry.com, just search for Soft as a Cloud baby and it will pop up.

I used two balls of Lion Brand, Pound of Love in color Honey Bee — stitching was done holding 2 strands together with size 11 needles. I followed the pattern except that I added two stitches to the cast on so that the first stitch could be slipped on every row.   I did an extra repeat of the pinwheel pattern and still had yarn left over.  The afghan finished at 35 inches by 47 inches.

This was a great tv project since you don’t really need to pay too much attention to the pattern.  I used markers at the start of each pinwheel to keep it simple.

Next knit project might be the 10 Stitch Afghan.
