Another week, another project….
This is a peek at a new quilt project that I started — yes, I should be quilting Jack’s project but my local quilt shop was out of the 505 basting spray and I need to go across town to pick it up…. hopefully this weekend.
The new project is another great kit from my resource center called Shabby Chic Sit & Sew, it was created by Fabric Expressions when they were owned by Toni & Juanita. The fabrics are mostly from Moda and Three Sisters. The kit was really a breakthrough idea because it was before the fabric manufacturers began selling jelly rolls — there are 40 pre-cut strips using 10 different fabrics. I added an eleventh fabric to get a little more length (thanks Karen!). All you do is sew the strips together in the order provided and add a border.
Seasons Winter had my stitching attention this week and I was able to get about 300 stitches completed — that is excellent considering that it is total confetti with various levels of intensity.
